Last month at Truss, we've been relentlessly focused on providing you with cutting-edge tools and a seamless experience. This month, we're thrilled to share significant advancements that boost your security, enhance convenience, and supercharge your efficiency.

Here’s a quick look at what’s new and what’s coming to your Truss account.

TL;DR

  • Balance Protection (Beta) – When enabled, this feature will automatically cover the unprocessed funds for a small 1% fee. Experience seamless cash flow, so your projects stay on track.
  • QuickBooks Payment Sync – Now live! See external payments from QuickBooks right inside Truss for a more complete financial overview and easier reconciliation.
  • Apple Pay for Invoices – Coming soon! Your clients can pay your invoices instantly and securely using Apple Pay on their iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
  • All-New Native Mobile App – Coming soon! A rebuilt Truss mobile app with a faster experience, biometric login, and Tap-to-Pay for contactless payments on the go!

🛡️ Balance Protection (Beta)

  • This new feature automatically prevents payment returns by ensuring funds are fully settled before a transaction is processed. This helps you avoid overdrafts and returned payment fees, giving you greater peace of mind.
  • When enabled, this feature will automatically cover the unprocessed funds for a 1% fee. Experience seamless cash flow, so your projects stay on track.
  • Go to your Accounts tab and click "Get Balance Protection – (Beta)" to enroll.

🧾 QuickBooks Payment Sync

  • To give you a more complete financial overview, you can now see external payments recorded in QuickBooks right within your Truss account. This saves you time and makes account reconciliation a breeze.

📱 All-New Mobile App!

Your Truss experience on the go is about to get a big upgrade! We’re excited to announce that a completely rebuilt Truss mobile app is on the way in the coming month.

Our team is developing a native app from the ground up for iOS and Android to make managing your business on Truss faster, smoother, and more intuitive. Stay tuned for a rollout soon – we can’t wait to get this into your hands!

Some highlights coming with the new app:

🔑 Biometric Login:

  • Secure, one-touch access via fingerprint or face recognition. No more typing passwords on your phone – just a quick Touch ID or Face ID and you’re in.
  • Tap-to-Pay: Turn your phone into a card reader! The new app will support contactless payments through Stripe Tap-to-Pay, allowing you to accept in-person credit card payments with a simple tap on your phone – no extra hardware needed. This means easier point-of-sale payments anywhere your business takes you.

🍎 Apple Pay:

  • Soon, your clients will be able to pay you instantly and securely with Apple Pay, right from their iPhone, iPad, or Mac. What this means for you:
  • Faster payments: Clients can check out in seconds without typing in card details.
  • More ways to pay: Apple Pay joins our existing credit card and ACH options, making it even easier for your clients to choose their preferred method.
  • Secure transactions: Every Apple Pay payment is authenticated with Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode, adding an extra layer of protection for you.
