Shared by Matthew • April 17, 2024

We are thrilled to announce the launch of an exciting new rewards benefit on our platform - Card Offers!

What are Card Offers?

Card Offers are special deals that allow you to earn more Truss points. We are excited to bring you two distinct types of offers:

1. Card-linked Offers

Earn extra points on your purchases by using your Truss card at specific vendors in-store or online. While most of these offers are automatically activated when you use your Truss card, a select few might require activation in your Rewards portal.

To view all deals, you'll need to:

  1. Visit the Truss "Rewards" page on your Truss dashboard
  2. Click the “Redeem points” button
  3. "Card linked offers” from the list of redemption categories

As time progresses, we will expand our list of offers by adding more merchants and deals.

2. Affiliate Offers

Enhance your online shopping with affiliate offers from top merchants, including Home Depot, Lowe's, and ACE Hardware. For instance, right now you can earn 2 points per $1 spent at ACE Hardware through the unique link in your rewards portal.

To take advantage of these deals, you'll need to:

  1. Visit the Truss Rewards portal and click the “Redeem points” button
  2. Select "Affiliate offers"
  3. Click on the offer you wish to redeem. You will see a "Shop Now" button, leading to the merchant's site through our unique offer link.
  4. Use this button to navigate to the store and to complete your purchase in the same browser window. This ensures your discount is applied, and your purchase is tracked correctly to award you the points.

Should you have any questions or need further assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to our customer support team. We look forward to bringing you more value and enhancing your banking experience with every step.

Choose who pays the card fee for receivables

Matthew avatar
Shared by Matthew • January 17, 2024

We are thrilled to announce a significant enhancement to your Truss banking experience:

You can now choose who pays the card fee for receivables - you or your customers.

When your customers opt to pay a payment request via card, a card fee of $0.30 + 3.5% of the transaction amount is applied. By default, this fee has been charged to your customer. Now, you have the power to decide who bears this fee:

  • Charge to customers: Continue with the default setting where your customers pay the card fee. No action is required to continue with the default setting.
  • Pay on behalf of customers: Set your company as responsible for any card fees, offering your customers a fee-free payment experience.

As a reminder, we still offer the option for your customers to pay via ACH bank transfer at no cost. This method remains a great alternative for fee-free transactions.

How to set up your preference

  1. Log into your Truss account.
  2. Navigate to the 'Settings' section.
  3. Select 'Payment Portal’ and choose your preference for handling card fees.

You can find detailed instructions on changing the card fee settings in this article.

This update gives you greater control and flexibility, ultimately enhancing your business transactions with Truss.

As always, our team is here to support you. If you have any questions or need assistance setting up this new feature, please email us.
